I was born in Dungarvan, Waterford, on the "sunny" southeast coast of Ireland.
I trained in fine arts at University of Ulster, Belfast, gaining my bachelor’s degree in 1991
In 2003 I moved to the UK and now live in Yorkshire, on the edge of the wild and beautiful moorlands and hills of the South Pennines.
In 2019 I was extremely proud to be selected to take part in Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year, thanks to my entry painting "Mind Like Sky".
My paintings are many things...

For me, a good painting is when I can remain open, curious, and playful for as long as possible.
I am happiest when I am able to paint "like no-one is watching", to take risks, be patient, and keep playing...
